As a CSG Member You Receive

  • Access to Connecticut state and town records via your CSG membership card.
  • The Connecticut Nutmegger where you’ll find transcripts of original  sources such as bible, church, vital and court records and wellresearched genealogical articles.
  • Connecticut Genealogy News that features articles on genealogical resources in Connecticut, how-to articles, reviews of genealogy-related books and information about CSG activities. Plus as a member you may submit up to 3 queries per issue.
  • Library access to Ancestry.com, Fold 3 and the NEHGS (American Ancestors) databases.
  • CSG Library is now a Family History Library affiliate. That means that most previously “locked” records can be viewed while you are in our library.
  • An office and library where members are served by helpful staff. You’ll find an extensive library collection of family genealogies, references, and our Ancestry Service, a unique collection of ancestor charts submitted by members.
  • Interesting programs that educate, entertain and foster camaraderie and more!

Membership is from May 1 through April 30. We do not pro-rate our year.

Anyone wishing to become a member of CSG must be at least 18 years of age. Individuals living in the same household and interested in membership may join as a “Household” member. Household members must be 18 years of age or older, reside in the same household, and agree to abide by the CSG Code of Ethics. Please be sure to include their name(s) on the application form. The fee for household members is currently $5 each. Up to 2 Household members may be added using our online system. If you have more than 2, please contact the CSG Office.

CSG Membership is for individuals only. Libraries or other organizations may not be members of CSG. Libraries or organizations may subscribe to CSG Publications by mail. Libraries/organizations, please contact the CSG Office for more information on subscribing.

Please fill out the application below or print out the PDF and send a check made payable to CSG, Inc. If you wish to reinstate [were previously a CSG member but have not been a member for over 1 year], please use this form. If you know your CSG membership number, please include it.

Once we receive the form and the notification of payment, it normally takes about a week, depending on the U.S. Mail, for you to receive your membership card and other CSG materials, including access instructions for the CSG Website’s Member Area. If you need access to the CSG Website Member Area after you have completed the membership process but prior to receiving the membership packet in the mail, please contact the CSG Office.
