This week, we’re proud to highlight the Middlesex Genealogical Society—a vital part of Fairfield County’s genealogical scene since 1982!

🗺MGS is located in the town of Darien, in Fairfield County, Connecticut. MGS draws members from various towns in Fairfield County.

The Middlesex Genealogical Society was established in 1982 for the purpose of encouraging those interested in researching their family history and to provide guidance. The Society does not limit its focus to Darien or Fairfield County. It provides assistance for all researchers, wherever their ancestry leads.

Their volunteers regularly support patrons at Darien Library, helping unravel local history and family mysteries.

Library Hours of operation

  • Mondays (1 pm-8 pm)
  • Tuesday-Thursday (11 am – 4 pm)
  • Friday (11 am to 3 pm)
  • Closed Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays
The CSG library is open to the general public. Groups are welcome.  Please contact our staff to verify hours or if you are planning to visit with a group.
