“Seamen’s Protection Certificates and Crews Lists” with Casey Zahn

Was Grandpa a sailor? Like Popeye, he may have worked in a Connecticut port on a ship, barq, or brig. This presentation will look at using seaman certificates (ca. 1796-1900) and crew’s lists to learn more about your maritime ancestor!
