Paul Baran 1960-2014

We are sad to report the untimely passing of Paul E. Baran, 53, on Saturday, January 25, 2014. As Archivist at the Connecticut State Library, Paul was well-known and respected by Connecticut genealogists and historians. He was born in Holyoke, MA on Dec. 17, 1960 to the late Stanley E. and Mary V. (Stachowicz) Baran. He earned his Master's degree in Library Science and was working on his Doctorate.  Burial was at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Stanislaus School Library.
